🚓 Tibshelf Community Speedwatch Launch 🚓

Today we introduced Tibshelf’s Community Speedwatch, a scheme that gives local residents the opportunity to tell us where they’re concerned about speeding in their area.

When a location is suggested, we carry out an assessment to make sure it’s safe and suitable for monitoring.
If approved, trained volunteer members of the community attend the site to record details of vehicles that are exceeding the speed limit.

What volunteers capture:

📏 Vehicle speed
🔢 Registration number
🚗 Vehicle make and colour

All data collected helps us identify patterns so we can take appropriate action against repeat offenders or those significantly exceeding the speed limit.

This is just one of several positive initiatives planned for the area , we’ll keep you updated as more is rolled out
